Wireless keypad and sensor signal repeating

I have read conflicting comments regarding the wire-free keypad extending secure link signal.  I commercial security systems it is commonplace that the sensors and keypads utilize a mesh topology to ensure expansion and conformity to and endless number of consumer deployments.  

These features seem to have missed the boat for launch with Arlo.  Not expecting to change base radio device capabilities in the sensors already deployed and suspecting this cannot readily be adapted by firmware update, is Arlo considering an actual secure link repeater for large homes/layouts?  It is far from ideal from a consumer perspective to have to buy a separate device to enable what they already own, but Arlo does seem to like to sell more gear to do the same job.  Those of us out here who jumped early to support arlos launch into home security but are being left short of competing systems certainly do want Arlo to succeed...both for business and selfish reasons... really don't want to throw out $3k worth of gear and start over.  Any updates to product / feature roadmaps would be appreciated.  Available for product/program management or consulting or even beta testing to help!
