The offer that disappeared!

I bought my first two Arlo Pro 2 cameras many years ago, when everything worked fine without any subscription to a paid plan. Later I have added a Pro 3 camera and two Ultra 2 cameras (and the old cameras are now mainly used for bird observation)

We live in a calm rural area, so I have thought it would be sufficient with only the local recordings from the SD card on the Base Station (that is fortunately still possible!)

Since we already have the Arlo system established we recently installed an Arlo Doorbell/Chime which came with a three months Arlo Secure Trial.

This made me curious to check out the Arlo Secure for all the cameras. So when I received an email (and several pop-ups in the app) with a six months subscription offer with 40% off, I finally decided to make it a try.

So I clicked on the email link and logged in to my account, but surprisingly there was nothing indicating any offer. I also clicked on a link in a pop-up in the app to see if there was any difference.

Same result. No indication of any offer whatsoever.

I did, anyway, go through with the subscription in the hope that the offer would show up at a later stage in the process. But no. I obviously have to pay the full price from from the first payment.

So is this ‘offer’ just a fake lure from the Arlo company?
