I have four Arlo Essential Spotlight Cameras VMC2030 and all four went offline yesterday afternoon. I don't know why, there's been no bad weather and no power surges as far as I know. My internet connect is good. Since then, I have taken down one of the cameras, removed it from the system and have tried and tried to reinstall it. I work through the prompts, get to the QR code, get the chime, and then the next screen I wait and wait and wait, only to be told "no cameras found. Try again". It is so frustrating!!! I haven't tried with the other three cameras, at the moment they are all just lumps of plastic and metal and glass, and I don't have any home security, which really really worries me. WHY IS THIS HAPPENING????? I can't figure it out. I have done everything by the book. Can someone help me??? I have been without any home security for about 20 hours, and I want this resolved!

Have you rebooted your router (and hub, if you have one)? Also, try resetting the camera according to this procedure:

Believe me, I tried everything! I was at my wits' end! But then, yesterday afternoon suddenly the cameras all started working again, and I was able to reinstall the camera I had removed from the system, without any trouble. This was about 24 hours after the cameras went offline.

I think what may have happened is this: Maybe there was a problem at Arlo's end, or maybe they did an upgrade of their system, but didn't tell the customers. Please, Arlo, if this was the case, perhaps in future you could let your customers know what is happening, it would save a lot of worry on our part.

If it were an Arlo problem, we'd have tons of screaming here. My guess (and it's only a guess) is that something with your ISP caused this. If there's no communication through the ISP (or any place else in the whole connection) things won't work.

Glad whatever it was has disappeared...
