All-in-one Sensor work alone?

Can the All-in-one sensor be used alone without the keypad? I was told that it could be used alone and alarm and notify me via app that someone has entered the room and that I could turn off the alarm via the app. 

Is this true?

No, it connects to the Arlo cloud through the keypad.
