Can the All-in-One sensor be paired to a SmartHub vs the alarm keypad, or is the latter an absolute requirement. Asking because on the SmartHub KB page it says the two are compatible whereas on the sensor product page it says a keypad is required. (Slightly confused about this.)

The FAQ you linked to apparently was misread - the sensors are among those devices that CAN'T be directly connected to a hub or base. You must have the security hub to connect the sensor.
