If you have made a post and it doesn't appear, even though you've made it several times, there is a possibility that your post was flagged by our automatic spam or abuse system and is now in quarantine. Posts that go to the quarantine will need to be approved by a moderator. Once they are approved, they will appear in the forums as expected. If you submitted the post numerous times, the moderator will approve one, and leave the others in quarantine so that there are no duplicate posts.
All online forums face the major issues of spam and abuse. While it is certainly not ideal when posts get sent to quarantine as a false positive, the system is in place to protect our users. Posts that may be flagged as spam or abuse often contain:
- Unnecessary or excessive html
- URLs or domains with suspicious syntax
- Abusive language or vulgarity
- Content copied and pasted from elsewhere on the web or an application
This is not a comprehensive list, but rather one to give you an idea of what may cause a post to be quarantined. If you suspect your post was quarantined in error, feel free to reach out to a moderator or community manager to get the issue resolved.
