I set up my Verizon Arlo Go yesterday and, even after reducing the motion sensitivity and lowering the video quality, it seems to be using a lot of data. I am worried about the cost for my Verizon account. Can you tell me how much memory (i.e. data) is used for each 10 second clip? What is the best way to optimize how much data is actually used? Thanks

You can download a few videos to determine what size they are. Minimizing the number of recordings and the amount of live viewing helps the most.

How do you minimize the number of recordings? By decreasing the motion sensitivity? Using this for security survelance so that would defeat the purpose, right?

"It depends." (TM)
Reducing sensitivity is one way while positioning the camera to only monitor specific areas of concern rather than a wide view. It's your situation, you know what you need. Some judicious and inventive adjustments may be all you need.
