P.S: I put it back together without the battery - I have it powered just with the AC adaptor.

Sadly I have been having the same issue. Just battery powered.
Seems that the cellular signal in my area has been quite variable in the past week or so.
Just today it appears to have stayed online the whole day.

I was in my second contact with tech support that a Firmware update was mentioned. I asked why there was no notification to customers/subscribers. All I got was repeated appologies. I told them these camers are used for security and if there is going to ber down time due to updates or maintenance then we need to get advanced notifications (email, account postings).
It was after spending 45 min with them going through resets/restarts that I was informed about the Firmware update, the tech even asked what the current firmware #'s were at the begining of the contact.

I have an Arlo Go Firmware1.096.3.0_1.8.57.0_0.6.5.18.AM.001. Model #ARLO.FX.0.6.5.18.AM.001 I have also had many issues with it claiming it is off-line yet still recording. It comes and goes. In addition, it has become overly sensitive (and I have dialed down the sensitivity to under 50%) and so under windy conditions, like today, I am getting recordings every 3- 8 minutes. Needless to say, it used up 30 min of recording time in one afternoon. I had this problem last month as well (does not happen every day even if it is busy). As noted in other comments, these problems all started recently with firmware updates. I use this to protect my property, and problems usually occur in the afternoon, unfortunately when the wind comes up. Hate to disarm it but that is what I had to do.
