Why cant I access my locally stored video over the internet using the arlo app? Im dont need the arlo cloud so why should I have to pay for the cloud feature to see my locally stored footage? Removing the SD card on a camera that is mounted 25 feet up and with solar power isn't practical so why wouldn't tis feature be enabled??? Why even have local storage if e have to take the camera apart to view the footage?

You posted in the Pro 2 area, and that camera has no SD slot.  Can you provide your camera model?

Actually a Go 2 (no Pro in the brand name for that camera).

FWIW, I agree that the SD storage should be accessible through the app (like direct access to local storage).  As it is, the feature is only suitable for a backup (need if there is a service disruption, or when a video is accidentally deleted from the Arlo Cloud).

Obviously Arlo wants subscription revenue - the limitations on local storage make that very clear.

Correction it does in deed have an SD slot but my issue is to access the locally stored video on it you have to open the camera then remove the SD card then put it in a

card reader to view on a computer. That’s not practical when your deployment is 25 feet off of the ground and uses solar power. If I want to view the footage stored locally I must sign up for a Arlo cloud subscription for 14.99 a month per camera. That’s ridiculous because I don’t need their cloud services to see my feed live so why not allow me to access my locally stored videos on my SD card also. The only reason I can see is GREED.
Blink cameras allow access to local storage without signing up for a plan. for this reason I’m sending all 3 of these. Cameras back to the vendor. They are useless to me.
