I have 2 arlo essential cameras. One has worked great, 2 weeks ago, the other started factory resetting itself. I woke up one morning to an alert that the camera had been factory reset and was no longer in my account. I set it up again and after an hour, I again received a notification that the camera had been factory reset. I checked the app, and it was no longer in my list of connected devices.
I have tried charging it and rebooting it from the app. I'm not sure how to proceed.

You could try contacting support - if you have a subscription, you will find a phone option in the app. Don't google a support number - that will lead to a scam support site.
Is the camera still under warranty (1 year)?
