Refurb Essential with spotlight from Amazon was working fine for 1st 3 months, once “3 month trial” expired device will no longer connect to home network via Wi-Fi. Very frustrating.

Are you sure it's not connecting as opposed to not recording to the cloud? The end of the 3 month trial doesn't disconnect the camera but does preclude the cloud recordings.

Thanks for the quick reply. Won’t connect to Wi-Fi router. Keeps “searching” then times out. Tried 2 different routers, no luck with either.

Sounds like a faulty camera. Can you see the camera getting an IP address in your router settings? It may help to remove and resync the camera. If you have a subscription (before removing the camera) you can use Settings, Support to get additional help.
