I've been using the Android app for a few years and it has always worked well.  I never experienced this problem until a few days ago.

Apparently, this problem has returned since similar threads were closed in 2020.  It's now 2023 and a few days ago I began experiencing the previous problem of "Tried to change mode but doesn't change on app. Have to log back in and it'll show it was changed."

Trying to figure out what was going on, I discovered as others did initially in 2020 (but then reported the problem was "fixed") that if I close the app completely and reopen, it does show that the mode changed.  But this is kind of a pain that shouldn't be necessary.

FYI ... I uninstalled and reinstalled the app on my phone, but same results.  My wife has the same problem with the app on her phone, so I know it's not a phone problem.

Anybody know if ...

-->  ... v.4.6 from Google Play is the current version?

------> ... If not the most current version, where I can find a newer version for Android that has corrected the problem ?

-->  ... there is a "workaround" other than closing and reopening the app to verify the change was made?

4.6 is the latest app but you can always just use the Play Store to check for updates on a regular basis (I happen to check daily).

What phones and OSes?

I can't believe this is STILL an issue.

I have a Oneplus 8T running Android 13 running arlo app version 4.10 and I have the issue where I try to change the mode and the green dot flashes for a second on whatever I have chosen then goes off and the mode hasn't changed, Ialso have had a yellow dot up in the top right corner (3 dots) implying there is something needing attention yet nothing is wrong.

Deleted and re-installed the app a half dozen times, nothing has changed, this is definitely a bad app update and nothing to do with end users devices as it is affecting multiple brands over multiple platforms.

I would upload a brief video of the glitching here but I can't for some reason.
