Can you use an external power device to charge the camera? Mine is in another location so I would like to just plug camera in portable power adapter to charge so I do not need to move camera?

There's no outdoor AC charger for the Essential cameras, only the solar panel which trickle charges.  I think the issue is lack of weathersealing for the USB connection.
