The Motion Detection icon is always grayed out over night.  I have to turn the device off and then on to return the Motion Detection icon to normal color - dark.  It happens every night.  Any suggestions?   Thank you.

Can you onboard your camera again? I see it as deactivated at the moment.

I have the same issue (Essential XL). Every morning I need to re-arm the camera.

Motion detection is not working. The issue is critical for a security camera IMHO.

I see the thread is year old and still no fix. I am surprised and disappointed at the moment.

Any update on this?  I manage over 40 cameras and all have Greyed Out Motion Icons.

I resolved this:  In the app, select routines - under modes - Arm Away - Add Devices Rules - add your camera(s)
