Inability for multiple people to disarm

Hi, I have installed three wi-fi  Arlo cameras at a scout hall, but the system is proving unwieldy and impractical. Whilst the system would probably be ok in a domestic situation, the inability for multiple persons arriving on site to disable the system is a deal breaker. Perhaps there is a fix, and hence this post.

To explain: We have a large number of scout leaders who access the site regularly. Currently we either have to arrange via the schedule for the system to be disabled or persons requiring access need to notify (sms or phone etc) the administrator with the Arlo app so he can disable the system. If we had only one or two people needing access as might be the case in a domestic situation, we could use the geofencing facility available in the app, but with 15 or so persons requiring access, providing the app to many persons is not practical or desirable. It would be a total mess and no one would know who was in charge.

What is ideally needed, and not part of the Arlo system as far as I know, is a keypad disable by the door. Failing that, if there was an app, that only provided access (may via the geofencing function) and didn't provide admin functions and didn't received notifications or anything else, this would be ideal.

So, if anyone can suggest a solution before I have to replace the system, I'd appreciate it.

Cheers

Steve

Arlo does have a home security system you could add - however the keypad would be inside, so there would be a notification/recording of the person opening the building.  The system would integrate with your cameras, and there are other sensors available (detecting door opening/closing, giving you status on whether the door is ajar, etc).

The other option is to share the cameras with the various scoutmasters - perhaps using a single shared account for simplicity.  That would give them some controls, but not all.

Thanks StephenB,

I'll have to look into that, but it sounds like a complete new system even if I can re-use the cameras.

It could be accomplished with a modified app and suitable back end support, but I guess Arlo are don't regard the sort of situation I have is a priority.  Seems the wi-fi camera system is just aimed at home owners.

Cheers
