i just purchased the arlo essential wireless camera. How do i know if my router is 2.4 ghz or 5 ghz my router has a 2.4 and 5 ghz light will the cameras work

Then it has both bands. The camera will use the 2.4 ghz channel. You might find you need to disable the 5 ghz channel in your router settings when you onboard the camera. If you do that, you can just re-enable it after you set up the camera.
