I just received my daughter's Essential system that she had for 2 years, as she has purchased another system from a different company. Now how do I go about setting the system up for me? Can I do it via the Arlo app and will it just sync via Bluetooth that way? I'm not super tech-savy so I know I'll be frequenting this community for assistance! Thank you

First thing to do is to make sure that she removed the cameras from her account.

 

Then you'd install the app, and create an account.  (You can also create an account from a PC browser using my.arlo.com).

 

Charge the camera(s) next - the LED should turn solid blue when full charged.  Then use "add device" in either the app or my.arlo.com.  Make sure you select the Essential Spotlight (VMC2030) when adding the camera.  The system will prompt you on the steps from there.

 

You will need a subscription for cloud storage - otherwise you won't be able to see any videos made when the system is triggered by motion.

I’ve got an acct via the Arlo app and attempted to sync the 3 cameras using the QR code. However after searching for a camera, it said none are found. I repeated this 3x but no luck. It did say my Wifi has to be 2.4 and not 5. I have no clue where to find that info as it’s not in my modem or my phone settings…

It's likely you'll need to factory reset the cameras before being able to add them to your account. Follow the instructions listed here and after the factory reset is complete, attempt onboarding again: https://kb.arlo.com/000062438/How-do-I-factory-reset-and-re-sync-my-Arlo-camera
