Essential camera and smart hub library empty

I have arlo essential and smart hub all connected- bought cameras & hub 2022.
the library is still empty ….
I’ve gone through settings and as far as I can see it’s set to allow viewing of past footage in library and I have library set to smart hub (not cloud).
Very annoying considering how much $ it all cost to get this far.

I went to support chat on my app.
I just had to disconnect my camera and then re connect it which then it found my smart hub automatically.
now I have a library full of footage 🙂
