Essential XL Spotlight Camera(VMC2032) & Free Legacy Plan

I have read a lot about this subject, but some of it seems a little bit ambiguous, and I can't seem to find a definitive answer to my exact situation? I have a VMB4000 Base station and three(3) legacy Arlo cameras that I was using on the free Legacy Arlo Smart Plan. I added an Essential XL Spotlight Camera(VMC2032) that came with a 3 month trial to the New Arlo Smart Plan. Now that the trial has ended, the Essential XL camera will no longer record to my library and the spotlight doesn't work properly, although, I can still use the camera in "live view".
Question 1: Is this normal?

Question 2: Can I keep my free Legacy Arlo Smart Plan for the 3 legacy cameras and add the Essential XL Spotlight Camera, as the 4th camera to my free legacy plan and be able to have the spotlight and recordings work on the Essential XL?

Question 3: If it turns out that I have to buy a Single Camera New Arlo Smart Plan for the
Essential XL Spotlight Camera will I still be able to keep the other 3 legacy cameras on my free legacy Arlo Smart Plan? Thank you!

Yes.  I have 5 newer cameras on an Arlo Elite plan, and a few older Pro2s that are not on a paid subscription.  All are in the same account, and I do still get 7-day cloud storage for the Pro2 cameras.
