Push notifications not arriving on Android device

I have Push Notifications enabled for the camera. In the Arlo app on my Samsung Galaxy I have notifications allowed but I never receive alerts. I do get email alerts (which I have also enabled). What am I doing wrong?

Check your mobile device settings to make sure permissions are enabled to allow push notifications for the Arlo mobile app.

@JamesC -- As per my post: "In the Arlo app on my Samsung Galaxy I have notifications allowed ...." Is that what you mean?

Have you tried toggling the notifications setting off and back on? How about rebooting the phone and reinstalling the app?
