I was standing outside near the camera and noticed that a blue light came on. I then checked the app and saw a video of me. So my question is: Does a blue light go on every time the camera detects motion and starts to record? Is that what I should see, a blue light? Thanks for clarifying this issue.

I have the camera "hard wired" to an electrical outlet in my house. I was tired of worrying about the battery and the solar panel didn't work well enough. So the app shows me that the battery is 100% all of the time. Hence the blue light?

That would explain it.  As @Dannybear says, there is a setting to turn that LED off.

The blue LED on the camera should never come on when a recording starts. It should only come on when charging and the battery is full (if the camera settings for Camera LED is enabled - note that clicking on it says "Battery fully charged indicator"). You may want to remove the camera from your account and onboard it again to see if that clears the issue.

Ok, I get that. However, one complicating factor may be that I have the camera "hard wired" to an electrical outlet in my house. I was tired of worrying about the battery and the solar panel didn't work well enough. So the app shows me that the battery is 100% all of the time. Hence the blue light?

I notice that my pro2 cameras resync to the Base station once a day so the blue led begins flashing, usually around the same time. I have the led turned off on all cameras.

Thanks. I turned off the LED. No real reason for it to be on.
