Can't speak to visitor at door

My phone rings when the doorbell rings and I can hear sound from the door but, with my phone unmuted, a visitor cannot hear me. If I activate the live camera from my phone, I also cannot be heard outside.

Check the phone settings for the app to ensure the phone's mic is allowed access.
