My wifi router merged my 2.4 and 5 gH internet. Ever since I cannot connect my cameras. Any ideas on what to do? We do not have the base and basically these cameras are worthless right now

What router model?  Also, what camera models.

Generally when switching routers, the best strategy is to set up the new one to keep the same wifi name and password.  Then you don't need to change any of your wifi devices.

Note my own router (Netgear Orbi) has a single network name for all my bands also (2.4, 5, and in my case 6).  But I can still install them, I just ignore the 2.4 ghz warning.  But that doesn't work with all routers.

Same brand and same experience. Just replaced the router. Kept the same password and SSID. Arlo devices connected, albeit with the usual hassles.

Keep trying until it sticks.
