Hello, I have 4 Essential Spotlight XL cameras that are set up outside and are constantly plugged into power. My issue is that the spotlight on all the cameras intermittently and randomly will not shut off after being activated and record for motion. They remain on until I manually turn them off.  The only way for me to turn them off is to log into and view the camera live, and to turn it off manually.

I want to keep the spotlight feature, but I want it to turn on only to record, and to turn off after recording has ended.

All firmware is up to date, cameras were purchased in and installed in late 2022, and have been doing this randomly for the past 5ish months.  I have removed and re-installed the cameras, which did not fix the issue.

How to I fix this???

When you removed and reconnected the floodlight, did you also reset the camera?

Hello, I do not have the floodlight. Just the essential with spotlight.  They are all one unit, so yes everything was reset when removed and re-connected.

The reset procedure spelled out above is valid for the spotlight cameras, too. The removal of the camera from your account generally works as a reset but the hardware reset may also be needed so try that.
