Hello Everyone,
years ago I bought an indoor Arlo camera (Arlo Q Plus) which has many nice features, including  - as a sheet says - "FREE Cloud Recording - 7 days of FREE video storage + upgrade options".
It's a very compact camera, we like it.

Earlier this year, an outdoor camera was needed. There was no question in my mind that it would be an Arlo. I finally choose an Arlo Essential Spotlight, which works fluently from the first time, I was afraid of it, but the battery time is adequate.

I thought the new Arlo camera also have the option see above (7 days cloud recording), but I don't find the feature. I am disappointed.
Can I use Arlo Q's cloud somehow with the Essential Spotlight?

Thanks for your answer!

Best,
Peter

Any camera newer than the Pro 2, starting with the Ultra in 2018, requires a subscription for cloud recordings. The box states this and is widely known through documentation, etc. You get a free trial subscription but when that expires you'll need a sub to continue to have cloud recordings.

Thank you for your reply.
I bought it through Amazon, so the description there did not contain any information about this part.
Are you saying the Pro2 still has this 7 day free cloud?

The box still has the info printed on it although it may take some looking to find it.

Yes, the Pro 2 (or any legacy camera that originally had the free 7 day plan) still has the free 7 day plan in effect.
