My house gets a small amount of direct sunlight where I would need the solar panel to be positioned. Maybe 1 or 2 hours per day. Does anybody know if this is enough to make the solar panel worth purchasing?

If the rest of the day is in heavy shadow, I'd say no. View of the open sky but shaded will still charge, just more slowly.
