App not Discovering Camera

I think I issue is with the Comcast Business Router. I cannot get the app to discover either of my VMC2020 cameras even though they both connected to WiFi.

All settings for the router are default out of the box (other than disabling 5ghz WiFi), so it shouldn’t any filtering issues. Unless there is some setting that is limited LAN discovery????

I can confirm the camera is connected via WiFi to the router - I can see the “VMC2020…” in the list of active connected devices.

I have disabled 5ghz so there are no worries connecting there

I have tried every setting on my iPhone (Turning on/off “Private WiFi Address”, “Limit IP Address Tracking”, “Low Data Mode”, etc) in all combinations to see if that helps.

I’m at a loss. I spent over 30 minutes with support and they just kept wanting to troubleshoot connectivity of camera to the router.

I’m at a loss! Thanks for your help!

Did you also try onboarding from a PC/Mac (logging into my.arlo.com)?

 

Also, the VMC2020 is the Essential w/o the spotlight.  So be careful to not to select "Essential spotlight" when you add the device - that won't work.
