How to switch motion detector off

Not much you can do about that, other than change the camera location.

Reducing the motion sensitivity to eliminate the unwanted detections likely will result in eliminating detection of all motion in the field of view.  Though if you want to try that, then look in the default mode settings for the camera.  Walk around in the field of view (with no wash on the line), while using the motion detection test.  Find the smallest value that detects you reliably.  Then try using something slightly above that value and see if that helps enough.

Setting up activity zones (not including the wash line) is possible, but since these do not help battery life, you likely will see fast battery drain on the camera.

If the wash isn't on the line for long, you can temporarily disable the camera using the on/off switch in the camera settings.  Or if you prefer, you can switch to a mode that doesn't include a rule for the camera.
