Not recording anymore - Essential XL 3rd gen - I have 1 clip in my feed this morning and nothing for the rest of today. Subscription active - toggled back and forth from arm home - arm away - restarted - disabled and re-enabled - live video is working

Btw - I have it connected to a Arlo solar panel with micro usb plug using a usb-c adapter to fit the gen-3. Could this be the issue - is it this sensitive?

Have you tried walking in front of the camera?

Yes - used the motion setting test feature and the sensor light comes on, however after the test it doesn’t work anymore. I have had intermittent times when it doesn’t detect and record for a couple hours, now it just doesn’t detect and record at all for a full day.

Maybe try making a manual recording while livestreaming

- another symptom - got it working again - however the battery drained 30% with very few recordings - took it down for charging and now it’s offline and no longer connected to my account - got it paired again and let’s see what happens

I suggest measuring the wifi speed at the camera location with your phone (particularly upload speed).

Thank you for the suggestion
150 up and 27 down on 5ghz band
the Essential xl I believe is 2.4
i suspect with all of the many issues, battery life, recordings, going off line, and general non responsiveness that I am beginning to sense it is a hardware issue.

3rd gen essential is dual band. So you have plenty of bandwidth at the camera location.

Thanks for the info - nice to know the wireless adapter is capable of dual band.
i am wondering if having it hooked up to an older Arlo solar panel might of cause an issue - I used a usb-c adapter to make it work for the XL

I'd disconnect the panel as a test.
