Can anyone explain the difference between “arm at home” and “arm away” ?

Have you done a Google search? The difference has been succinctly explained by Stephen and is the first result that comes up when typing in 'arm away Arlo'.

The labels are suggestions as to how you want/need to use those modes. Arm Away is generally used if you're away from home and is automatically populated with rules for all cameras. Arm Home is generally used when you're home but you may have to add or delete rules for various cameras, as appropriate. Standby is generally used to turn all cameras off but can be used to activate certain cameras if you wish. You can mix and match each mode for your own purposes as long as you can remember how you've configured each one.

In addition to the above:  By default "Arm Home" arms only your outdoor camera models.  By default "Arm Away" arms everything.

Note if you place an outdoor model indoors, then "Arm Home" will still arm it by default.
