I have several Arlo cameras of different types.  Yesterday I added a new Arlo Essential Outdoor 2nd Gen (called "Roaming") and set it up in my Away mode so that it records if motion is detected.  It has a "Send Notification" section that I can't remove but I can't turn off the "Send to Everyone".  However, it get automatically re-enabled after a few minutes.

My Front Door camera works as expected: it records and notifies.  My other cameras work as expected: they only record.  This Roaming camera can be set to only record, but then if I go back into the settings after a few minutes, it says Record and Notify again.

In the two screenshots below the Roaming camera is setup correctly, but then after a few minutes it changes back to Record & Notify.  Any ideas?

This is indeed the case for me too, I'm afraid. Adding any type of camera results in notifications being turned on by default.

Every release = new issue.

My conclusion - based on my experience - is that Arlo is actively trying to put its customers off their system.

How long does it take to switch back after you change it?

Are you changing it in both Arm Home and Arm Away?

I haven't seen this with my own Gen 2, but I normally leave notifications on.  I just disabled notifications in Arm Away, I'll check it again in a few hours.
