Both my VMB4540 and my sons have stopped working with port forwarding. Both our apps are on Apple IOS but mine is 26.2 and his is 26.1 so not sure its a IOS issue?

Please follow these steps within the link and see if you are able to get port forwarding working as expected:

so sounds like it has been working before (fyi @BrookeN , it's not set up issue).  What has been changed recently?

Say new phone/ ARLO app update/ router firmware update/ ... ?

I deleted the app and re added it and it started working again after I reconfigured the port mapping in the router.

my son tried the same approach and his is still not working however.

It was a working config on both our systems. We think an IOS upgrade broke it. I was able to get mine working with an arlo app delete and install but that didn’t fix my sons.

Does he by chance have the update to go to 26.2?

Good suggestion but it is a beta release so he may be reluctant.

He upgraded and deleted and re installed the app and set the port forwarding to new ports on the router and it still does t work. Meanwhile mine works since I deleted and re installed the app.

He has his own cameras and account?

Yes. This is separate from mine. I’m aware of the limitations of local storage and multiple users on the same system. This is not that.

We are going to factory reset the “smart” hub and see if that resolves the issue. Very frustrating

He can use https://canyouseeme.org/ while connected to his home network to make sure the new ports are open.

Also, if he hasn't reserved a local IP address for the smarthub in his router, he should do that.  The router will sometimes assign a different address, and that will break the port forwarding.  Reserving the address will prevent that.
