Dear Arlo Support Team,

I recently purchased the Arlo Essential XL Outdoor Camera, which has a pairing button on the top. However, I encountered an issue while trying to set it up using the Arlo app available in Brazil. The app does not provide an option to pair this specific model, making the setup process impossible.

At no point during the purchase was I informed that this camera might not be compatible with the app in my region. I would greatly appreciate your guidance on how to proceed with installing and using this camera. Are there alternative methods to pair the device, or is there a specific update or solution for users in Brazil?

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your assistance.

Best regards,

Arnaldo

Since Brazil cannot get Arlo subscriptions, installing it, even if available in your region, would be useless (unless you connected it to a SmartHub for local recordings). If you want cloud recordings and a subscription, you can use a VPN to a country that can have subscriptions (the US, etc.) to create your account, set up the camera/system and use a credit card from that country to pay for the subscription. Once complete, you don't need the VPN.  Here's the list of countries that can get a subscription:

Another alternative would be if you travel to one of those countries, take the camera/system with you and set it up there. Just turn it off and bring it back to Brazil with you. Turn it on and it will work as if nothing changed.
