By the time I opened the box, I was beyond BestBuys return by date. This was due to a medical emergency. Everything I read said these essential gen 2 cameras attach to a base. Now I find they do not. Really poor customer communication/information flow. I’m now stuck with 4 cameras that do not accomplish what I need them to be doing. I do like the yard sign though - (kidding) - I have ADT signs on my
property. You guys lost my trust and loyalty with this one. How do I return??

If you have an Arlo link that says this, it'd be useful to post it here, so it can be corrected.
Most of the folks confused about this were mixing up the original Essential and the Gen 2.
FWIW, Arlo has said they are going to add the feature, but haven't said when.

Base Station/SmartHub compatibility is now available for Arlo 2nd generation devices. For those that already have your Arlo 2nd generation device onboarded, you will need to remove the device from your Arlo account and re-onboard to see the option to sync with your Base Station/SmartHub. The following firmware or newer is required for this integration.
