Essential 2nd Gen shorter charging cable

Is there a shorter charging cable for the Essential 2nd Gen camera, or a way to shorten or splice the 25 ft. Arlo Essential Outdoor Charging Cable that is available online? I only need one that is about 6 - 7 ft  long.

An experienced person who has good eyes, steady hands and is comfortable with splicing thin wires could possibly shorten the cable. However, it would still need to be weatherproof and performed in a suitable place on the cable. Once upon a time I certainly could have done this but old age and shaky hands (lack of fine motor skills) would put this on shaky (get it?) ground.

I have an outdoor power supply for a camera and have just carefully coiled it inside the weather-tight box for the outlet. Not the slickest solution but it works well.
