I have been trying for several days to add my wife to my arlo account.  on line chat, not much help.  I have deleted and re-entered the invite several times, with the same result each time.  The account gets created, I allow access to my devices.  The account shows pending.  The invitee (my wife) logs on to her arlo account, and nothing appears as far as cameras etc.  It is like a brand new account.  The rub seems to be that it asks for a location, which I enter the same location as my account is for.  I have tried using the app on her ipad.  I have tried using a PC all with the same result.  A account exists but no access to my account.  It seems like the support team is reading the same instructions as i am, and telling me what to do, but it doesnt fix anything.

There has to be a solution to this problem.  I am not new to setting up accounts and allowing access

FWIW, there is a bug in the "Friend" account feature at the moment.  Your wife will be able to see the cameras, but will not be able to control them.

 

The simplest option is to have your wife use your Arlo credentials in the app.  That will give full control.

 

The other path is to go into the invite email on a PC (not a phone or tablet), and click on the "Create Account" link in the email.  That will open the browser to my.arlo.com.  From there, log into the existing account - don't create a new one.  Note there is a token in the create account link, so you do need to click on the "create account" link to get this to work.

 

No idea why, but the process works more reliably on a PC than it does in the app.
