BY camber setting is set for 5 mins, It will only record for 10 to 15 sec. what am i doing wrong?

The usual issue is a poor signal between the camera and router. If you move the camera to a different outlet, perhaps in a different room, does it work better?

The max fixed recording length is 2 minutes, not 5.

I think you have actually set the camera to record until motion stops (which usually is much shorter that 5 minutes).

Try using a fixed recording length of 1 minute, and see if the recordings are consistent with that setting.
