Is there a way to program a schedule for the Essential Indoor camera other manually turning the camera off and on when connected to the hub? I can't seem to find one.

The details depend on what user interface you are using.
The newer one has menu options for "Feed" and "Dashboard". The older one has "Library". Which do you have?

Mine has Library, but I am not subscribing to the service, I use the smart hub so I record everything to a hard drive I store locally.

Thx.
With Arlo Library, you schedule modes, and not cameras. Since all your cameras are connected to a single smarthub, then the modes you are scheduling are for that smarthub. Each mode controls all the cameras connected to the base - if a camera is omitted, then it is disarmed when that mode is activated.
The first thing to do is to chart out what cameras you want active over time. Each combination of active cameras will require a custom mode. After you create those modes, you go into the schedule section to schedule them. Note you cannot set a schedule entry to cross over midnight - instead you need to end an entry at 23:59 and start a new one at 00:00.
More details are here:

If you have trouble sorting it out, post back with the details on what cameras you want activated (and when) and we can provide more tailored help.

This seems overly complicated to only have my indoor camera record when I want it to, there should be a way to separate any cameras for specific monitoring times, if I'm misunderstanding please let me know. If I connect my indoor camera directly to the wifi and it is separate from the base, can I make a schedule for it?

You aren't misunderstanding, but the system works as I said above.
Though in most cases it is harder to describe than it is to set up.

Yes. If you do that, the indoor camera modes (armed and disarmed) would be independent of the base. So it could have it's own schedule. Note manually disarming/arming your cameras would also be separated, so you'd disarm both the base cameras and the indoor one. Similarly for re-arming.
