Does Arlo Baby have a battery? Do I have to config to use battery? App shows 100% battery.

I just got the Arlo Baby camera. Everything seems to be working well except one thing. When I unplug the device it dies. The app is showing battery @ 100%. 1) does the cam have a battery? 2) do I have to press or config something to allow it to use the battery? 3) do I have a faulty device?
I'm hoping someone from Arlo could message me directly as there seems to be no _contact us_ email address on the website.

Hi R2D2Raden,
The Arlo Baby does have a battery built inside. Arlo Baby is intended for use as an AC-powered camera. Battery power is intended to be used for short periods of temporary monitoring. The expected battery life ranges from 3 hours of night-time use to six hours of daytime use. You can read more about it here: What is the expected battery life for Arlo Baby?
To use the battery-power, you can switch the battery on/off. You can read more about it here: How to turn Arlo Baby battery power on or off?
