Arlo baby light stays solid amber even after reset

My baby Arlo camera randomly showed offline and the led indicator remained solid amber. I deleted the device from my account in the app and tried to do a factory reset but the led indicator remained solid amber. Then I tried sliding the battery switch on the bottom to off for ten seconds and switched it back on. The led indicator turned solid amber right away. 

I contacted customer support and they said that the device is defective and it can’t be replaced since it’s out of the warranty period.
