I finally got a reply to the complaints of dropping out and blank screens today from njfoses (Star)...

However, the firmware on my device has updated, yet the issue remains.

Not ressolved. Not happy!!

Hey @redfoxit,

Could you explain more what dropouts and blank screens you are having on your Arlo Baby? And what client are you using (which phone or web browser)?

It use to be only drop-outs (ie: the camera’s stream stops). I use all browsers and have the Arlo on a dedicated ssid. The device itself isn’t offline, just the image - connecting to server... this occurs 70% the time I go to use it.
Now, since the firmware update, it works 80% of the time (only on the browser), but the new app on iPhone DOESNT WORK AT ALL! It just says “Connecting...” on both my partners and my phones also the iPad.
This is meant to be a product to monitor my baby in her most vulnerable time. Far from impressed!

redfoxit,

Do you have the most recent Arlo iOS mobile app installed from the app store?

Yes. I’ve updated on two phones and it doesn’t stream on either. The old app works on iPad though! New app is a fail.
Funny that the only way to view this heap of junk is on an obsolete application or Edge browser (which no one uses!), although the connection with these methods are only temporary- seeing the stream drops out after an hour or so.

FYI: I’m a Cisco qualified network engineer, specialist with wifi and IoT. And I’m embarrassed for Netgear - this device should have never made it past QC.
