Any idea on how to setup chim to simulate presense outside of a mode so the motion sensor on te chime can be used.

The chime doesn't have a motion sensor...it syncs with your doorbell and behaves as a chime when the doorbell button is pressed. You can also set up your chime to react when a camera detects motion.Take a look here for more information: You can sync your Arlo Chime with your Arlo cameras or Arlo lights
