New Audio Doorbell Pairing

I purchased a brand new in box with labels still attached audio doorbell, opened it fitted batteries and attempted to connect it to my base station and it gets as far as finding arlo device and simply can't find it, what am I doing wrong, the button is lighting and dimming as per the instructions, please help?
