Audio doorbell not notifying phone when doorbell is pressed

I am not getting notifications on my cell phone when the doorbell button is pressed. I do not have a chime, not sure that I need one. This is new, just purchased and can't get it to notify my phone.

-Are you signed in to the Arlo app when the doorbell is being pressed?

-What version of the Arlo mobile app are you using?

-What Device/Model/OS are you using?

Yes, I am signed in to the app when pressing the doorbell.

I am updated to the latest version of the app

I am using a samsung (android) 7

Under settings for my new Arlo 2 smart hub, it shows that my doorbell is a connected device but cannot be viewed on the main screen as a device on the app.

There is black toggle inside the doorbell that changes it from the type of wiring and notification. I had this problem until I switched it.

Have you tried to remove the Doorbell from Settings > My Devices > Re-add it?  You may also try to perform a factory reset by holding the sync button on the back of the Doorbell for 10 seconds > Re-Add it.
