Looks like the wiring from existing chime has to feed from behind the back plate. My existing wiring comes from the left of the door frame so would stop the backplate from sitting flush. Is there a way around this even if it means cutting a bit of the back plate to allow the plate to fit over the wires?
Thanks
Thanks

There is no prepared section to cut-out a surface mounted cable - sections of the base plate should allow optional cut-out (on all four sides, top, down, left, right ...) to allow an existing surface mounted cable to reach the contacts, still allowing to have the base mounted flush.
