We are experiencing an outage of our ReadyCloud service and are working to resolve the issue..
The Community team here at NETGEAR appreciates the feedback you have continuously provided regarding the community. One of the biggest areas we have heard from our users that could use a little TLC, is the merging of duplicate ideas, and feedback, as well as archival of some posts with outdated information. Your feedback has been heard, and we have started the process of merging, moving, and archiving. So what exactly are we doing, and what does that mean for you, our community members?
Idea Exchange: Duplicate ideas on the ideas exchange board will be merged together. The second, merged idea will show up in the comments section.The kudos will merge as well with duplicate kudos being removed. So, if the same person kudo'd both ideas, the idea will retain only 1 kudo. However, if a person kudo'd one idea, and not the other, the kudo will be added to the overall count of the idea it was merged into.
Community Feedback board: We will also merge duplicate feedback posts on the Community feedback board, as well as move ideas to the idea exchange board. The purpose of the Community feedback board is for users to post ways in which we can improve the community, whereas the idea exchange board is for ideas regarding our products. We will move posts accordingly.
Posts: We will be going through and identifying posts that contain information with instructions and steps that are no longer relevant (for example, instructions prior to the UI change), and then archiving those posts. This will ensure that users who participate in our community are getting the most up-to-date guidance and instructions when using NETGEAR products.
If your post is merged, or archived, you may receive a message notifying you of this. This does not reflect negatively on your user ranking whatsoever. This process will take some time and won't happen over night, but we have already begun the process on the idea exchange board, and will begin work on the other boards and posts in the coming weeks as well.
