Hi,

is anybody aware of a way to have all cameras start recording for 20s at the same time? Not triggered by any motion but via click of a button/activating a schedule? I'm already enabling/disabling the cameras schedules via IFTTT though my smart home setup. Now would be great if an alarm is triggered to tell all cameras to record now (even if alaram wasn't triggered through motion but my other smart home sensors).

Rgds

Lars

PS: If you need IFTTT integration, you can use this workaround ... https://community.netgear.com/t5/Arlo-Wire-Free-camera/Node-Service-to-Automate-Mode-Change-for-Arlo...

drao,

This is not currently a feature of the Arlo system. It is a great idea though, I encourage you to post this topic in the Arlo Idea Exchange so that it gets proper exposure to the community and the development team.

Thank you for your contribution,

I haven't tried this, but I would imagine if you turned on a heat source (a light bulb close to the camera, for instance) in range of one of the cameras, then that could act as a trigger to the motion sensor.  Since you're already talking about IFTTT then it could be triggered by the lighting control.
