Hi there!

After spending hours last night getting all my new Arlo kit setup, I fell at the final hurdle of connecting my SmartHub VMB5000 with Apple HomeKit.

  • Trying via the Arlo Secure app > SmartHub > Device Info > HomeKit, I can get as far as scanning the HomeKit QR or entering the code but then it just spins / hangs at “connecting accessory”
  • Trying via the Apple Home app itself, I can again scan the HomeKit QR or enter the code, it then recognises the device as a “Bridge”, but then errors saying that “This device cannot be added to HomeKit”

I’ve tried all normal troubleshooting steps to no avail: reboots of both Arlo devices and routing equipment, factory reset of the SmartHub itself etc.

I’ve read numerous other threads on the community that suggest my device’s HomeKit token needs to be reset. Please could you action this?

I've sent a token reset request to your base station that should resolve the issue. Please reboot your base station (remove and reapply power) allow the base station to come back online and try setting up HomeKit again using these instructions: How do I connect my Arlo camera to Apple HomeKit?
