Hi,

If I set up IFTTT with the ARLO channel, and create a rule to trigger on motion and flash a HUE controlled light, do the BASIC ARLO functions (Record for

xxx seconds)  also occur?  When you use an IFTTT rule, is that in addition to the settings you setup in ARLO?

I want the basic functions, (record on motion) but also want to setup IFTTT and have it tell HUE to flash the HUE controlled lights.

Anyone tried this?  I didn't want to buy the HUE controller & bulb unless I knew this would work for sure.

Thanks!

svrarlo,

I do not have access to a Hue to test this specifically, but IFTTT recipes should not replace the normal functionality of your Arlo system, unless that is their intended function. That is, if you have your mode on Arlo set to "Armed", unless an IFTTT trigger specifically tells Arlo to change modes, the recipe should work alongside the normal Armed behavior.

I hope this helps,
