Hello
Im often getting these IFTTT faults, trying to send arm/disarm commands to my ArloQ cameras with my Amazon Alexa Dot:
--- log from IFTTT applet ---
Applet failed
Apr 28 - 3:18 PM
Amazon Alexa
If You say "Alexa trigger santa" Then disarm Arlo
There was a problem with the Arlo service.
Hide details
-----
Any one know what is the problem and how can i fixet ?
IFTTT and Arlo are no-brain setups so its difficult to see user errors here

PacMan666,
Consider clearing the recipe, set up again and test, do you see the same behavior?

Hey
The problem is that its only some times it happens, totally random so it cannot be a config error from my end.
It has to be a backend issue between NetGear - Arlo and IFTTT
The strange thing is that sometimes the trigger is run 12-15min after it failes, by it self.
It has to be a system failt some how
Cheers

It seems that Arlo and IFTTT have completely ceased working together. Is anyone else having this same issue?

Experiencing the same problem since mid of September 2017.
IFTTT reports: "There was a problem with the Arlo Service" and "No details available. "Applet failed" in Log.
I recreated the recipes. Saviong and "Check" successful. But same error on run.

I have the same issue with IFTTT. It stopped working on Sept 20th.
I've tried disconnecting/reconnecting the service, deleting the applet, etc.
Applet failed

Arlo
If Arlo Detects Motion, then make a web request
There was a problem with the Arlo service.
If I click "Show details" it says "No details are available."

Constructed Applet 9/15/2017 When Arlo detects motion it turns on Wemo Switch. Had no problem setting it up and it worked correctly. Unplugged Wemo switch for a week, then plugged back it and now I always get IFTTT Error: There was a problem with Arlo Service. Tried re-doing applet to no avail. Trying to get a responce from Arlo or IFTTT has been a real challenge. If you make a product and want it to suceed, it shouldn't be this hard to find help, either from Arlo or IFTTT. Can anyone help?

I wanted Arlo to work. I'm currently researching a viable replacement unless they can fix this issue. Arlo/IFTTT integration is pretty crucial for how I planned my home automation.
Not sure how much I can recoup by selling my Arlo set. Disappointing.

I got tired of IFTTT and Arlo sometimes working sometimes not, then for the last month not working at all. Selling my camera setup was not an option for me so I found another app called STRINGIFY. It basically does the same thing as IFTTT but has a completely different interface. It didn't take long to figure out how it works, they have a lot of getting started videos. I was able to duplicate everything I was doing with IFTTT which was basically automation between my cameras and my hue lights and also some nest thermostat applications. I've since deleted IFTTT and am extremely happy with STRINGIFY.

Have just tried "Stringify" instead of IFTTT and it works fine 🙂 Thanks for the tip!

Interesting review of Stringify below. Talks about unreliability of IFTTT which rings true on this thread!?
